Confident, intelligent, caring, athletic, resolute, and artistic are some of the attributes of Cicara Smith.  She is 11 years old and represented Grand Bahama Academy (GBA) at the Primary School Student of the Year Awards for 2020 in Nassau.  She was chosen as the 5th runner-up and the top Family Island student among her outstanding peers of over 100 students.  

Cicara is on the exciting GBA Lady Flames Basketball Team which won the Primary School Championship in January 2020! It is the first title won by her school! Cicara has been an exemplary student of GBA for 6 years and maintained a 4.0 average, principal’s list, and most recently Valedictorian while participating in numerous school activities.  She eagerly participated in many school activities including CandyLand, STEM Emphasis, Sports Day, Science Fair, Math Week, Prayer Day, Wacky Dress-Up Day, Walk-a-thons, Cooking Club, and Girls’ Club.  She loves God and is an active member of the Freeport SDA Church where she is involved in the Children’s Choir and the Pathfinder Club.  Cicara loves animals and volunteers at the Humane Society of Grand Bahama.  She enjoys having fun with her friends, singing, music, drawing, reading, swimming, gymnastics, sailing, Korean culture, and baking cupcakes.
